| | Jonas Alaska | Roof Came Down - Vinyl | | | In recent years, Jonas Alaska has written some of the most heart-wrenching lyrics in Norwegian pop music. His ability to tell stories through songwriting has earned him a loyal following both at home and abroad. The album sounds like a modern classic, timelessly beautiful and narratively compelling.
As on his arguably strongest album to date, his 2015 debut Tonight, the introspective songwriter draws from personal experiences as well as musical inspirations such as country singers George Jones and Burl Ives. Compared to his last two albums, Younger and Fear is Demon, the new record is more sparsely arranged, drier, and less pop-oriented. The piano takes an increasingly central role, giving the album a very organic sound. With Roof Came Down, Jonas Alaska is set to reaffirm his reputation as one of the most esteemed and sensitive songwriters of his generation. | | | Manufacturer/importer information | |
